Concrète en E Minor - "20/20"

"Concrète en E Minor" is an immersive audiovisual performance by the artistic duo 20/20, born from their Advanced Practice & Enterprise module. This project deconstructs traditional performance, merging processed field recordings, a recontextualized Chopin prelude, and live electronic manipulation. Utilizing Ableton Live, custom Arduino/Max MSP interfaces, and synchronized Resolume visuals with DMX lighting, 20/20 crafts a unique, evolving soundscape. Drawing inspiration from Musique Concrète, industrial, ambient, and psychedelic electronic scenes, the performance explores an 'acoustic cyberspace'—a visceral experience of texture, nonlinearity, and intense affect, challenging conventional notions of music and live art.
